The first edition of Unseen explores woodland not far from Chichester, West Sussex. A favourite place for solitary walks, the woods are quiet and tranquil with an abundance of wildlife.
Unseen is a photographic project centred around a search for the sublime and spirit of place - in both the land and self. It began in 2019 as a sort of travelogue of intuitive walks inspired by the Romantic reveries of Rousseau and Blake, folklore, film and literature. Each walk is a sensory experience taking in the historical, topographical, and psycho-spiritual ambiences with resulting feelings and revelations presented in Unseen - a collectable zine published periodically.
